Curious about the many LoRa variations that are appearing in the wild these days. Used to be that

Disaster.radio was an attempt to make Secure Scuttlebutt available via solar panels.

Scuttlebutt has inspired Nostr

Meshtastic - built on more recent boards, minus Scuttlebutt.

Sending text messages over radio up to 10km per unit, plus sharing GPS info and such off-grid.
