Curious on suggestions, experiences and concerns in regards to backup power units, especially those that are portable and reasonable in cost. Think beginner, instead of seasoned professional. Got a fancy setup? Of course you are welcome to share it!

- Backup Power ❓️
Now what?
- Goal
#1 is to allow devices to properly shutdown, which is a big cause of data loss. Perhaps it could tie into Home Assistant or similar.
- Goal
#2 is to allow at least some devices to continue running for a certain amount of time.
- Goal
#3 is some level of recharge in the system via small 60w solar cells, etc.
Unless someone has a suggestion otherwise, we'll assume power out impacts everything besides something battery charged like a cell phone or laptop. This means basic home internet goes out along with the power. Perhaps a mobility-friendly backup system is more usable for traveling than it is the home. You tell me!
Currently I'm testing lithium-ion batteries, like those in a phone, as opposed to lead-acid. Using a backup system designed for computers, in addition to a mobile powerbank.
Thoughts much appreciated!
