Pixel Artwork Tools used, or recommended
- Icy Draw - the spiritual successor to MysticDraw (1996–2003), completely reimagined for the modern era. Unlike traditional ANSI editors, IcyDraw brings a contemporary graphics editor workflow to the world of text-mode art.
- PabloDraw - PabloDraw is an Ansi / Ascii text and RIPscrip vector graphic art editor/viewer with multi-user capabilities.
- Durdraw - ASCII, Unicode and ANSI art editor for UNIX-like systems (Linux, macOS, etc). It runs in modern Utf-8 terminals and supports high speed frame animation, 256 and 16 color modes, mouse drawing and paint brushes, MS-DOS ANSI art, CP437 and Unicode mixing and conversion, HTML and mIRC color output, custom themes, and many other interesting features.
- Moebius - Moebius is a collaborative, self-hosted ANSI and ASCII Editor for MacOS, Windows, and Linux. The major feature that differentiates it from PabloDraw is the 'half-block' brush which allows editing in a style closer to Photoshop than a text editor, although you can still use the function and cursor keys to draw with, and you should find that most of the text editing features from PD are carried over to this editor.
